Michael Camacho sings in tune, enunciates clearly, and has clarity of tone, the prime ingredients for a jazz singer. His scatting leaves a bit to be desired but all in all he has the tools to be a very good vocalist.

The title tune "Just For You", an original by Camacho, has a superb melody with a hip lyric and is notable for not being the usual fare one
hears these days.

"Skylark" is a classic tune with words that are prime examples of the glorious poetry from the pens of Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael. This tune is done a bit too slow and the rhythm is a bit stilted.

"This Is Always" was made famous by the late great Earl Coleman, again the tempo is practically nil, but this piece carries any weight thrust upon it by virtue of it's magic.

Michael Camacho is backed by a fine six piece band which adds greatly to the project. This album is very interesting in that the singer Camacho has the ingredients (as mentioned) to be a fine singer.
